I am mum to 3 older children, who works full time and loves to bake. The kids are now 24, 19 and 16 with only two of them still at home. I work full time Monday to Friday with little free time in the week.
When the kids were born, I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mum for 10 years. In that time I ran a very small baking business from home. Although I loved returning to work about 10 years ago, I have recently realised how much I missed baking!
I started thinking, that with all the stresses we face these days, baking again could help out in more ways than one. Not only would it ease the stresses of a hectic week, it could help our home economics if I “bulk” baked all the snacks needed each week. It would even help with providing a better quality of snack for the family, if not healthier!
Now, I have attempted a blog in the past. However, if I’m honest I didn’t really give it my all. I sort of toyed with it without committing any serious time, or thought. This time feels different. Honestly, it really does! I feel much more driven, dedicated, and excited. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not looking for a new career, I’m just looking forward to sharing my thoughts and recipes.
